Chiefs confirm Ntwari and Dortley signings

Kaizer Chiefs added two more confirmations of their new signings ahead of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership campaign.

Goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari and defender Rushwin Dortley were the new faces confirmed by the Amakhosi, with the new technical team and former Orlando Pirates player Bongani Sam confirmed a couple of weeks ago.

Ntwari, who turns 25 two weeks after the start of the season, had only last season with TS Galaxy, coming from AS Kigali, a team in his home country of Rwanda.

He joins the Amakhosi on a four-year contract that has a one year option to extend, therefore possibly ending in the year 2029.

In defense Cape Town born, Dortley joins Sam from relegated Cape Town Spurs, with the hopes of strengthening coach Nasreddine Nabi’s squad.

Nabi is expected to change Chiefs’ fortunes by bringing back the glory days, as he came highly rated, winning the Tanzanian Premier League twice, back-to-back with Young Africans, amongst other accolades.

Chiefs play Young Africans in the Toyota Cup on Sunday, with the legends of Kaizer Chiefs and of Bloemfontein Celtics opening the stage earlier on the day.

The Legends match is expected to kick-off at 12:30, while the main match is expected to commence at 15:00, both at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.
