AmaZulu are on the brink of securing loan deals for Mamelodi Sundowns duo Etiosa Ighodaro and Luvuyo Phewa.
Ighodaro, 23, did not join the squad for pre-season in Austria, having returned from a season-long loan at SuperSport United.
His journey with Sundowns has seen him on temporary stints with Chippa United and the University of Pretoria since his teenage years.
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old Phewa, who signed with Sundowns in 2020, has had loan spells at Chippa United, AmaTuks, and Spurs.
Usuthu have already bolstered their squad with the acquisitions of Guinea winger Boniface Haba, Sifiso Ngobeni, and Senzo Ndlovu from Sinekani.
