Stellenbosch FC book semi final spot against Sead Ramovic’s TS Galaxy...

Stellenbosch FC hosted TS Galaxy at the Danie Craven Stadium to play their way through to the semi-finals of the MTN8 on Sunday, and goals were not short.

The first half ended 2-1 to Stellies, with goals from Jayden Adam's canceling out Kamogelo Sebelebele’s bottom corner opener, and Andre De Jong putting the home team in the lead.

A goal by Fawaaz Basadien in the second half sealed a win for Steve Barker’s men and proceed to the semi-finals of the tournament, being the second team to book a spot.

Orlando Pirates who went through with the same result against SuperSport United on Saturday, but needed extra-time after the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

TS Galaxy had a game to be proud of, despite losing as they showed glimpses of play that outplayed Stellies though lacking the final product, also considering their inability to sign players and the players they sold.

The result for Galaxy was to be less of a surprise considering that it was their first time finishing in the top 8, and that their away form last season was one of the worst, losing 8 of their away matches and bettering only Royal AM (9), Cape Town Spurs (9), and Richards Bay (10).
